Rocker Socrates

This post is for my friend Lastrami. Here's a photo from Halloween couple of years ago. (Actually it was 2009! How time flies!) Socrates went to an all pug Halloween costume contest. He went as Mick Pugger of the Rolling Bones. The first photo was taken by a professional photographer who was there.

Socrates actually managed to win the "FUNNIEST" prize!  But he was indignant since he thought he should have won the "COOLEST" prize!

  1. Dear Mubi (sorry, I never know how to call you...the matter with nicknames.)

You'll find me highly impressed and speechless with admiration - if I EVER can stop laughing :D
What an hilarious costuming! Mick Pugger...*giggle*... Rolling Bones...haha! I almost die laughing.

Thank you so much for sharing this moment; very cute photos.
It's astonishing what you can do with dogs when they trust in you. Seems as if you had much fun together :)

To be honest: if I had seen a photo like this elsewhere, my first thought probably would have been "poor dog"...
But I know how much you love and adore your furry kids. You would never do anything annoying your pets.
And Socrates actually doesn't look stressed - he looks very cool and proud ;)

I congratulate you on winning that prize (funny AND cool).

    Best wishes

  2. Glad, you like it, Lastrami. Mubi Chitose is my pen name. You can call me Chitose, that's the first name, and Mubi is the last name.

Socrates ONLY got the FUNNIEST award, but he thinks he should have gotten the Coolest. LOL.

Well, these guys live free without paying anything for room and board, plus they have a servant (ME!) So I don't feel too bad if they have to work for me once in a while! Socrates did well!

    1. Haha, you're so right... that's a convincing argument.
btw: when I'm feeling cold, my hubby sometimes sais, I shall put one of the cats onto my lap. Because we pour cat food into them every day, and they could return the favor by warming me up ;)

    3. Dear Chitose,

I deleted my 365project account a few days ago :-\
Can't really explain why... maybe an unfortunate mixture of fatigue, sadness and temporary(!?) insanity. And a little too much wine. Too bad (I regretted it immediately), but I can't help it.
Because of this it's impossible for me to write any comment to your photos on the 365project web page. So don't be surprised that I'm a secret admirer now.
Sorry, I just wanted to let you know, and your blog seems to be the only way. Feel free to delete this comment.

      Best wishes

    4. Lastrami! NO need to apologize! These things are for you to have fun. It's not suppose to cause stress. On the other hand you can always create a new account if you feel like it. You are free to do whatever you want in things like this; it's your choice! However I think there will be people who will miss you on 365. I will miss you.

If you're tired of 365, why not start something new, like Facebook or your own blog on Blogger? I want to keep in touch with you, Nefi & Pollux. You are wonderful!

    5. Let me give you a BIG virtual hug for your warm words, dear Chitose.
After reading your reply, I had to brush a tear away - baaah! Way too sentimental for this cruel world, hehe ;)

A blog ... seems to be tempting somehow. Especially because I love yours!
I was sometimes thinking about my own blog, but German laws seem to be very rigid. I think I would need a publishing information, if I would write a blog. Name, contact details ... that's something I don't like to expose in the www. Maybe I'm simply too old for all those things :-\ That's the only reason keeping me up from writing a blog right now.

Um...OK: not the only one. The second one is, that my life is very boooring. There is absolutely nothing interesting to share with the world.

The first highlight in 2013 was the today's trip to a small village, where we had a look at a house.
      A cat's paradise, believe me!
I would love to live there, but it's no improvement for my husbad - his daily way to work would be much more time consuming. We'll decide for (or against) it this weekend.
But first I have to go to bed now *yawn* ;)

      Good night!

    6. Wow! I can't believe that the German law is so restrictive about blogging! And how would they track people down?

Why don't you try Facebook? It's pretty easy, and you can set different level of privacy so you can share with everyone, or just people you have as friend, etc. I think there's several levels of settings.

Also it's nice that you can share other people's post, (mostly funny pictures and things) so you don't have to come up with original content all the time. Also a good way of keeping in touch, and you can also exchange messages privately if you want.

If you decide to open an account let me know so I can find you and send you a friend request! Or you can find me as Mubi Chitose there too.

If you think your life is boring! Then my is super-mega-ultra boring!!!! Just work & home, work & home and nothing else! Because of my furry kids, I really can't go anywhere. Well, at least they keep me entertained.

  3. Countless German blogs don't include a publishing information, and probably nobody cares two hoots about it...
Maybe our laws are not really up to date when it comes to today's media, and sometimes it's simply a question of construction. In Germany there are law firms, specialized in searching for people who (unwittingly) don't follow the rules. Then they write adhortatory letters - invoice included. Money-mad attorneys! But first of all they're keen on illegal downloads (music, films etc.). I don't know if they have a down on bloggers, too.

Facebook had some problems with data safety, but I should try it. If I share photos & messages but not my bank account, it should be OK ;)
